Maxicol is from William Ransom & Son Plc - the UK's oldest independent pharmaceutical company.

The company was founded over 160 years ago in 1846 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire by William Ransom. William was a Quaker philanthropist and most importantly for us, a botanist. William, a contemporary of Charles Darwin, was a highly influential figure in early research into the analysis of botanicals.

Using skills, knowledge, and close working partnerships with growers around the world the company is evolving from a simple pharmaceutical and extract manufacturer into a company leading the development of natural consumer healthcare products.

Psyllium husks, when added to water or fruit juice, can help lubricate the intestinal tract, which stimulates normal, health bowel motions. Friendly bacteria are also essential to help balance the flora in the gut, which can help maintain healthy bowels.

Maxicol combines Psyllium husks with one billion friendly bacteria per serving and pre-biotic fructo-oligosaccharides. These bacteria help balance the flora within the intestines and assist in maintaining bowel health. Maxicol is now available in air tight containers to ensure maximum quality and freshness. In addition, Maxico can also be purchased in capsule form.

Ingredients:
Psyllium Husk powder, fructo- oligoccharides, lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidum bacteria complex, silica, magnesium stearate (vegetable origin).

Each capsule provides: Psyllium Husk powder 336mg, fructo- oligocharides (FOS) 80mg, lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidum bacteria complex 60 millon organisms per 100g Energy 15-25kcal, Protein <5g, Carbohydrate <5g, Fat <2g, Fibre 85-95g.
